It doesn't get any more low tech than a 42-cent snap trap...taken through hole cut out of black paper. Levels, hues, contrast, touch-up cloning, USM, and NI.

yeah, i winced and grinned when i saw this. and i, too, had missed the one in humour. i really feel for the next person who does this. you did a good job with this. i like the angle you took, and your cheese color definitely is more inviting than mine.

Great DOF! Good concept, too - this was one of my thoughts for the challenge. The mouse hole is a little too perfectly cut though. Everyone knows mice don't have the fancy Sears Craftsman power jigsaws - they still use hand saws. ;-)

Definitely low tech! Excellent DOF on this and nice choice to use a new and not a 'ratty old' trap that would have taken something away. The mouse hole is very fuzzy on the inside edge which really flattens the image. I'm not sure how to fix that, but it seems out of place.

Taking this from the viewpoint of the mouse was an admirable notion.

Good clarity, nice idea. The angle though is wrong. If this in fact were a rat (mouse) looking at it, he would have a real sore head by now because he is much taller than the hole. Not being a rat, maybe this doesn't actually make sense but a little lower angle might have been more realistic?

Good perspective. Certainly low tech. some loss of focus at the far end but overall well shot with good exposure and focus.

Amazingly enough there is another entry just like this one (not identical, but same idea, same subject) Inspired by humor II? Very good job here.

If the border of the mouse hole was more defined this would have been a great shot.
