 Stump of a fallen Sequoia tree. This image was really blown out but I liked it after I edited it to give it a painterly effect.

Haven't entered anything in quite some time so I hope this editing is allowed.

Funny that Mother Nature is a master of both symmetry and abstraction, depending on what you look and . . . and how you look at it.

challenge description: Abstracts are about lines, shapes and colors. If it is recognizable as an object - it is not an abstract.
Why not go closer and make it unrecognizable, just play with shapes and colors?
