 I went to the hobby store and bought wooden balls, pegs, paint, transparent colored cellophane, thin wooden dowels. I drilled holes in the balls and glued the pegs into the balls to represent the virus. I painted the balls with acrylic paint. drilled a hole in the backs of the viruses and put the dowels in to support them. I cut holes in a transparent plastic storage box to run the dowels through to support the balls from behind the box. I lined the inside of the box with the colored cellophane. The camera was set on a tripod and small LED lights were used to light the subjects from the sides and back.
Processing the image involved making a copy of the original image. the copy was stacked onto the main image. The copy was used to modify the background using Gaussian blur, and solarize. I adjusted the colors of the backround to my liking with the selective color adjustment. The main image was sharpened, increased clarity and contrast, and increased vibrance. The entire image was cropped.
It will be interesting to see how this image does.
