 This picture took on a life of its own.
I really don't have anything abandoned around where I live. Far too many homeless people who will either move in immediately, or break down any useful structures to take away.
Then a very tragic news story of a 13 year old child drowning during some school activity hit the radio. And then I "saw" my old pool - The rain put a bit of water into the bottom. I first tried to convince my 2 ducks to pose, but they were not cooperative (sort of "back to nature" theme. I then decided, since I felt it needed some drama and color to throw myself on the steps. I think it made a chilling picture when you know the background - no water is too shallow to drown :-(.

I left the feathers in. I find them a bit distracting actually, I tried to color them red, but that didn't look good either. In a way they add to the abandoned feel. Voters may comment on those.
