This was inspired by a picture that someone here on DPC took many years ago - I am so sorry, I can't remember who it was. She (I am pretty sure it was a "she") cut out a mouse hole in a carton and had her cat on the other side. I know, because we all wanted to know how she did it :-). I have always remembered that picture :-).
This is my dog Fani/Waldi (yes, he has 2 names ;-), as far as I am concerned every self respecting Dachsie should be called Waldi :-))). Anyway, he really does chase the rats in that particular spot. I have some pallets on the ground to store Agility equipment, and the rats seem to like it there. he is forever chasing them.
And here is proof, that he does catch them (that was a coincidence ;-), haven't seen a dead one in a while.

I do like the sense of night that this low key image provides, but I would have scored higher if the composition had a lower vantage point. As it is, the rat is looking down on the dog.
