Since it said metaphorically, I thought I'd enter this. I thought for sure that it would at least get some comments.

It was disgusting yet fascinating to watch. I assume that it predated the nearby kittiwake nests. Yet there are so many nests and we didn't see anyone swooping in to steal any babies. Yet later on, I saw two seagulls fighting in the air, and watched yet another kittiwake baby fall to the ground during the fight.

The worst was that the seagulls didn't even bother to go find it! If you're going to steal and kill babies, don't waste them!!

I spent the rest of the week booing every seagull I saw.

I just don't understand why this didn't resonate. I thought it a good fit for the challenge.
