I had a lot of fun with this, my first attempt at taking a photo with a studio feel. My ´´studio`` consisted of a chair in my bedroom covered with a black cloth (hence the grainy look of the background). I took advantage of the afternoon sunlight by positioning the chair close to the bedroom window and used a small torch to re-create the feel of genuine studio lighting. I would have liked the photo to be a little crisper, and unfortunately the green pepper came out a little darker than I would have liked, but I guess that gives me something to improve on next time.

I like the light in this photo.

Cropping is a little too tight at the bottom of the frame. There also seem to be lots of reflections, maybe a less harsh light source could have been used?

oh my you need contrast... adjusting the brightness and contrast so the background is just washed out black negative space will add a whole lot more drama and really make the colors pop... great focus and DoF though... you make have needed some camera adjustments to help with the lighting issue as well

Top pepper is a bit out of focus and you might want to bring the subject further from the backdrop so it doesn't show so much. Good color.

I find the crop a little too tight near the bottom and the noise in the background a little distracting.

Focus could have been sharper. Too much empty space on the right compared to the height.
