Me- "Dad, will you be in my picture?"
Dad- "What do I gotta do?" -Dad
Me- "Put this on" *Holds up demented headgear
Dad- "Hell no"

I ended up putting on the 'ye-olde-headgear' myself which I made from a coat hanger and tin foil...However my dad DID decide to put in his hands with the plyers. :-)

Only one little light was on from below and a blanket draped behind.
On the computer I converted to black and white, burned and dodged a bit, cloned out some distractions and added a tint of brown.

In retrospect I feel I might have ripped of grigrigirl's "The Dentist."

Bleuh.

I just happened upon this one, and it is leaving chills. Probably because this is how I feel in the dentists waiting room. I always enjoy seeing what your going to come up with next.

Where is that loud agressive rock music coming from? I really like this one. Good composition and lighting. Really captures the pain.

This looks like something from a horror movie!. I think there are some interesting objects but don't care for the single source lighing that doesn't let me see any of the side of this (victim's) face. Still, for interest and being very close, a 6

wonderful emotion, maybe just slightly too dark, I feel that I'm looking for more detail that could have been included with just a little more light - great image, well done

I suspect this will be a ribbon winner for it's great dramatic lighting and good sense of humor. Good acting. At least I hope he is acting! LOL

This image is on the light side. Amazing how low tech dentistry has remained. Outside of desensitizers, they still use similar pliers. You get an extra mark for creativity and the very adept selection of subject and props with killer lighting and great employment of sepia to highlight your point. 7

It's too dark, I know arty lighting often looks good but you;ve got to bear in mind we've never seen this before, so you know what it is no matter how dark it is. Scary shot.
