They won't be working today, I think. Karen is right about the lack of tonal range forcing us to take in the shapes.

this is unusual - it doesn't seem like simple desaturation, as I wouldn't expect the tonal range for all the housing material to fall along the same midtones, it's an interesting effect (I assume it's an effect?) Has the result of forcing the viewer to really take in the structure and geometry of the piece.
