I find the lighting a bit confusing, but like her concentration on the pitch and yaw of her hat. As this is an adjustment, it feels like this is a mirror's perspective, intriguingly voyeuristic. It's interesting how her eyes are teasingly visible through the shadow and the dark glasses. An involving portrait.

I find the light on the hands very interesting - for me it's about the hat and the hands and what they are doing.

I like the implied anticipation. The hands are in control but it's all about the hat.

It is a guarded person with very interesting lines in her palm

the shadow on her face (and the sunglasses) seems to be a metaphor of a guarded person. What we see best are her hands.

nice light and shadow work. I do feel like - and I don't clearly know why I feel this way! - that I would have liked to see more of the upper half of her face in deep shadow, that somehow that would be more striking. Probably goes against every rule in the book of course, for portraiture :)

thinking of it more, I think the reason I feel like we can do without so much face detail is because this shot is all about posture, not about face-portraiture - seeing her face fully distracts from the "point" of the image, so far as I see it, anyway...

Love the hat and the lighting, conversion to B&W works well. I do wonder if the model should be wearing sunglasses under such a wide brim? and woulld like so see more of her eyes :)
