The tonal range of this image is interesting. Everything seems bleached except for the dog. I can almost feel time passing as the dog patiently waits.

Misty is clearly waiting for somebody to come out of that car. Not sure if it's going to be the desired dog owner or someone you can't trust.
That's what I see (or better feel) in this picture...

I like her high key surroundings, delicate and teeming, which set off her dark, glossy fur, her "there-ness." The entire image is kind of a bouquet.

I'd say the square composition makes the perspective more disorienting, the juxtaposition of far and close, which becomes a metaphor for desire.

nice leading line - Misty looks so intent, even seeing her from behind, that I imagine a rabbit under the shrubs up ahead :)

May I be the first to say Play Misty for Me? Groan, that was awful, sorry. I admire the way that Misty can express such anticipation in every fibre, even seen from the back. That's a helluva range, method-acting-wise. This picture says so many nice things about the photographer. What you care about. Thank you.
