Following the leaves my eye falls down on the varmint. They always look so guilty.

Emerging from the shadows. What a delight to have in your garden!

All about the glowing colors, the yellows, reds and browns. They seem to be breathing. A lot of beauty. The composition, to me, is a bit off-balanced, the squirrel being tucked in the corner with little room to move.

Ha! Looks like a set design for a puppet story.

Shall we reduce our square crop to 8 or 900 to see the image in its entirety without moving it up and down?

So much going on in what (at first) seems a static image AND I Love the background foliage :)

I see the little leafy branch trying to be a squirrel. Damn near succeeding too. The longer I look the closer it gets to squirrel-ness. Thank you.

the competing diagonals lend a surprising amount of depth - I do hope he's the same "hiiii yaah!" squirrel from earlier this year:)

It's a huge world out there, and he knows it. Very nicely composed.

the swooping diagonals make a very clear and strong subject of that little squirrel, who is also emphasized by peeking out from shadow into warm sunlight. color and line work together.
