Challenge: Diptych - same scene, different focal lengths (Standard Editing*)
Collection: Portfolio
Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ70
Location: Ballarat, Vic. Australia
Date: Sep 14, 2018
Date Uploaded: Sep 15, 2018

I shot these shots through the car windscreen while I sat waiting for my husband. I knew the sparrows would disappear if I got out. Moments later my hubby returned to the car and sure enough, the sparrows all departed as he approached.

This is sooo good Marion, and I feel you really met this challenge better than most!

Would of voted but was too busy. Editing is spot on also!

Every time I look at this and Ecce_Signum's 2nd place I like the idea of this challenge more. I absolutely know I will be adding this kind of diptych to my repertoire.

Wonderfully done and presented (even if I do still think the processing is a bit too much for my taste - I am obviously very much in the minority there LOL).

Congratulations.

I told you it was fantastic, huge congrats on this shot, I really enjoyed viewing it and looking at it, and I still get immense pleasure and I am not sure why. It could be that it is so industrial, so everyday, but then boom, out comes this gorgeous blue with rings and the crosshatching of the fence and sparrows. I think it really does show everyone that beauty is hidden in everything!

Congratulations on the blue for this wonderful tandem. The lower portion, with it's lovely disposition of elements and uncanny blues, is my favorite "half."

Very nicely done. Two excellent standalone images that first appear to be different scenes until you look a bit closer.

Bump of +1 and in my top 3 (might not be good news lol). The size difference of the two images was a great choice and I wish I'd thought of it!

Both elements of this have their appeal and can stand on their own as well as working together. One of my favorites so far. Nice work.

At a quick run-through of the entries last night, this one was one of my top two. The HDR look might be a little strong for me, but not much. And I LOVE the two photos. Highly effective. Will doubtless be back for a bump.
