This regional term is called in french Pied-de-vent, commonly used in the Īles-de-la-Madeleine, refers to a luminous phenomenon that can be perceived on a cloudy day. It occurs when the sun's rays pass through the clouds.
Backlit, this radiance creates a supernatural atmosphere. Whether up or down, their angle can vary depending on the position of the sun.
Even though this term comes from our home, the windfalls can be observed all over the world!

Hello from the critique club

An interesting image that contributes to the challenge.

A phenomenal skyscape, very nicely captured Marcel. I like the near mono effect with very subtle colour tones at the bottom the frame. The composition is good with the heavy emphasis necessary for this dramatic sky. The only comment I would make is that I would have preferred a natural scene without the huge light poles and housing. The diagonals of the suns rays are very pleasing and nicely contrasted, well done Marcel
