 A visitor on top of a 12 inch Rodman cannon, at sunset, on Ft Jefferson, off the Fl Keys.
The canon weighs 25 tons, and launched a 435 lb ball over 3 miles, using 55 lbs of gunpowder charge. It was probably loud.
