Hey! I tried to comment on most of the kid shots during the challenge so I'm not really sure what more to say so... This is a really cute picture. It's really close to looking like a professional, studio shot. The chair is nice. I would move it so that it is against a solid background. The coloring is good, and the lighting is nice and warm. It could be a little brighter though. Their faces are just so cute but would look better without all the shadows. You might also want more even light rather than having natural light on one side and a lamp on the other. The toys are a personal decision. If it makes it more personal (if these are their favorite toys and will be the ones they always remember) then keep them in. You should also frame/crop it differently so that you aren't cutting anything off. I don't know if you were at an angle or what, but the top of the chair is off to the left a lot. Just back off some and use a tripod. Then you can always crop out more when you process them. This is a very cute shot of a wonderful age. Having good shots of your kids is really one of the most important things you can do with your camera anyway. I think you should try this one again just to get it perfect.

This is cute! Great smiles, the dog and doll makes the composition more complete and the background is somthing you can relate to the scene.
Great lighting and camerawork.

In my opinion it would have been even cuter without the toys.

There were four "family" picture cliches that outshown all the others. This is one of them. Well posed in a homey setting and cute kids.

Very cute. A white background, a little clearer and you'd have yourself quite a portrait. I might PS a little white background, brighten in up accordingly and sharpen and see what you get. - Inspzil

For sure one of my favorits this time: fits the challenge best. It's really cute and a keeper for the parents but probably even more for grandma and grandpa.
And although it's a studio shot where you probably asked the kids to smille or say cheese, it does not look unnatural. The doll and the dog helps to make it look natural very much. Light and color are set great too. Good luck with this wonderfull submission.

So adorable. I like the stuffed dog, and I think the photo would be better if the little girl was holding an older-fashioned stuffy instead of the cloth doll. But the outfits are wonderful - the chair is great, and the kids are precious!!!

What cuties. Great shot. I do wish they would put those dolls down. I can 't see their outfits.

what a lovely family portrait. the colors are gorgeous. My only suggestion would be the girl's lacey skirt is distracting and could have been cropped out ust below the dog's ear. (10)

Beautiful portrait - gorgeous children. I think the props are a nice touch too. Maybe just a little more light on the faces but I'd frame it and hang it.

OH NO! It's a kid shot! :P They're adorable - are they twins? I'm not sure I like the doll and puppy in the shot. It has sort of a formal portrait feel otherwise. It does make it more personal I guess, but the doll especially is just distracting to me. I like their outfits and I like the chair. I'd try getting a solid bg behind it though. Also, try not to cut off any elbows.

What beautiful smiles! The portrait lighting is well done. If I could spot retouch this one, I would tone down the catchlights in the right eyes of both subjects (compare the right eye to the left eye) but I'm not sure that could have been improved by changing the portrait lighting.

You've captured probably one of the most precious moments in the lives of these children! It's alive with color! The attention given to the detal of the color of the photograph is excellent. Their smiles are so natural and beautiful. The lighting is simply. . .great. You've created a wonderful happy mood with these children and it's a very well created portrait! I think I'll give you a . . . 10

Beautiful children. Strong contrast and colours. The dog should have "looked up" to complte the composition.
