 For this challenge, I'm going to the local fruit and vegetable market. I figured I could find a particular item to meet the challenge. The vegetable attendant found a purple artichokes. Normally the artichokes are green. I thought I had a starting point. For composition I propose a composition based on negative space. I added a personal touch by watering the artichoke to bring out the purple color

An interesting image that meets the challenge well.

Well done in finding this purple artichoke for the challenge it is certainly off colour. I like your composition making use of negative space and further off colour enhancement as against a more normal brown or green of its natural surroundings. I think a bit more DOF to define it against the background may have helped a little, otherwise a good entry Marcel.
