Frank (aka caba) was retired from the US Postal Service and a long time DPCer. He attended many DPC GTG's here in Seattle and I had the pleasure of accompanying him on a photo trip to the Wild Animal Park in Sequim, WA in 2006. He was an award winning photographer on DPC as well as other venues. One of his iconic Seattle photos even graced the cover of Popular Photography in 2008.
Frank suffered from Multiple Myeloma since around 2008. He posted occasional health updates on his DPC profile page through May 2015. I had been on hiatus from DPC for two years and had not been in touch with him since the last GTG in July 2014. I emailed him a month or so ago and did not hear back, so I recently tried calling him and his cell phone was disconnected. Fearing the worst, I googled for any info I could find and sadly I found confirmation that Frank passed away on September 27, 2015.
