Sorry to hear about your loss, Paul. Dogs are so part of your life that losing one is very hard. Luckily we can remember them with pictures like this. And I hope you'll have a great time with Hegarty, what a lovely wee dog he is!

We lost our beloved Fergal last week. This photo was taken a few weeks before and was his last visit to the beach. He was diagnosed with a degenerative condition about 4 years ago and only in the last few weeks has it taken him off his legs. It was with great sadness we had to say our goodbyes. He was one of a kind.

We have another dog, Molly and our belief is they love company so we have a new addition to the household - Hegarty. He will never replace Fergal but he will help ease the pain.

Beautiful portrait.

Your title implies he has passed on, so my condolences.

This one the title informs the image and transforms it from a standard dog on the beach shot to something more visceral. Then the sling is no longer a distraction but an important piece of the puzzle. Very sorry for the loss.
