 Took on top of the Beartooth Pass between MT and WY. Alot more snow up there than I thought would be and this is about as far as we could go. I was really hoping for a better chance and oppertunity for a better landscape for this challenge, but this is the best I could muster within the challenge dates. I was really hoping for a great sunset again over a lake with snowy mountains, but the clouds wouldn't cooperate with the sunset time so oh well. Anyway I hope it does at least ok, I know it isn't perfect but I was limited on time because my little daughter was along for the ride and I didn't want to keep her out in the cold for too long.

Beautiful scene. The first thing I noticed, (when looking for things that could be improved), is the deep black shadows under the trees, nothing wrong with black shadows but, because there's not a lot happening over to the right of the shot, just some nice sky and some distant background, the trees and the deep shadows make the shot a bit un balanced, in my opinion. If possible I would have moved to the right some way and tried to keep the reflection and rocks in the foreground, bringing the mountain more central to try to balance things up a bit more. Well done though for some stunning scenery, a six from me.

"Yes" was my first thought on seeing this. A great image. The edges are a bit dark indicating that your polarising filter use was too close to your focal limit, but this is digital, so ... I don't know. 9
