An image that contributes to the challenge
Well Marcel, I don’t think this is one of your better efforts which is disappointing given your recent good form. I concur with the considered and helpful comments you have received, I don’t really have a lot more to add except to say that this feels like a rushed snapshot that had little or no thought applied you could and should have done so much more with it. Better luck next time. |

| Nice colours, but the composition is rather awkward, with the eye being led to the pole just off centre, rather than the house and bridge as seems to be intended, and the goose at the left edge leading the eye out of the frame. |

| If it were me taking this shot I would have walked around the edges of the water or at least walked out on the little dock before I took my shot. This meets the challenge perfectly, the color is beautiful with great contrast. The focus is good. It only lacks composition and emotion. I like to walk all around my subject and invision each angle in a box. You had a perfect opportunity to create a real piece of art with this photo even in minimal edit. I give a 7 for this. |
