So, we're getting new pavement in our neighborhood. I don't recall when they started working, it seems like forever - well, most of the summer anyways. There have been surveyors, labourers, consultants, nosy guys, summer students working for the county, backhoes, graders, bobcats, big trucks, little trucks, packers and all manner of other large equipment out and about, tearing up the old roads, hauling stuff out, bringing new stuff in. Guys whacking sticks in everyone's yards to show property lines. It's a right mess. When the challenge for "people at work" came up I laughed out loud - aha!! This will be a cake walk! There are more people working on our street than one could shake a marker stake at! Of course the day I decide to go and shoot my photo, it pours rain. Oh well, I'm sure that some of that large equipment must be out there puttering away in the mist. Nope, just one guy with a shovel. I could have gone back the next day because the action was all back, but I kinda liked the shot I got. Hope this mess is done soon so the loud screeching of car tires on new pavement can begin ;)

Took me a minute to get it- very clever. Perhaps a little too subtle and it could have used some more color, but still....well done.
