So this shot could have been so much better. I was traveling with my parents and sisters and their kids in the Black Hills area of SD. Oh so many opportunities for pictures. Oh so few stops with time to catch shots. I thought it was the last night before deadline, and after a day of driving out there in a rush to make the 4:30 Buffaloo tour/chuck wagon dinner I didn't let myself stop for photo ops on the way out. Then it was bumpety bump bump bump in awesome jeeps into the middle of buffalo herds. So fantastic. But me with just my 100-400mm lens and an lx100. We were almost too close for good buffalo shots with that lens and there were so many of them, and since I couldn't get out the jeep to compose my shot because DEATH BY THE BUFFALO 2 feet outside our jeep, I was stuck shooting from the hip. But I was bound and determined to get an entry. There were several amazing areas showing off a post-forest fire area, and I got a few I liked on my lx100, but darn if I couldn't figure out the wifi thing on that camera. So I submitted the best I had on my Fuji. Taken while moving in a giant jeep. No PP. Then two days later I figured out the lumix wifi. Custer State park is really incredible place to visit, I can't wait to go back although next time maybe just my husband and me so I can have a bit more time with my camera.
