This snapshot really doesn't capture the "feeling" of this morning. It was cold, the wind was blowing, and there were TONS of leaves falling even as I stood there taking pictures. You'd have to shoot this with a video camera to really appreciate it.

Not much done to the photo... a little levels, hue/sat, and sharpening. Then added a border.

I'm willing to bet I'll get a ton of negative comments on the border for its size. That's okay... it felt right to me at the time, so I went with it. :-)

HAHAHA Dave this picture almost looks like a motivational poster...

This is my favorite. It shows talent with a camera. I miss the season change and this captured it well. As for the truck and other "distractions", isn't that the feeling you were going for...a brisk Nov. morn. How many streets are empty on such a morn? quite honestly the border was not one of the distractions...my eyes went straight to the pic.

That border is big abd ugly but i think it nearly works. Good pic, cars a bit distracting.6

WOW! Love the colors, one of my favorites in this challenge. The Boarder really adds to the look. 10

that's quite the bold border huh? I'm a fan of borders, but i think this one is to overbearing for this shot. nice fall photo though :)

hmmm - border police will be down marking you for this I guess, so I'll give you an extra mark for boldness, though the photo has been reduced in sixe so the detail is hard to see

Way too much border! Doesn't present the photo well.

This a beautiful scene captured; I love the covered sidewalks and all that this time of year. I think the cars and man in the scene will keep this from scoring extremely high simply because it is a more spontaneous capture. I have no opinion of borders in general, but I would have to say that this one is too "much" in my opinion - and as a whole, DPC tends to vote borders down for some reason.

I try to look down the street, but keep getting pulled back to the border. I guess that means the border is too powerful. Still, a good depiction of the challenge and of November 7

I don't normally mind borders but this one is too over done and spoils what looks like a great photo.

If I ignore the border which is way over done, this is a worthy picture. Border drops it by 2 points.

Nice picture, clear. But I feel like I have tunnel vision with that fat border.

I like the colours and the perspective. Nicely exposed. I don't care for the clunky border BUT I don't rate on the border anyway. Some people do though, and I suspect there will be others who don't like it. Framing is a personal thing for folks I think.
The vehicle in the pic bothers me. My eyes keep getting drawn to it.

That border is a little 'over the top' even for me. Otherwise, quite a nice image.

nice fall picture...wish it could have been composed without that red truck in the way.

nice image, i think that the border may be a little too heavy, it feels like i'm having to look through the border rather than the border enhancing the image

Colours are very nice and rich. Also really enjoy the crop, although i think i would've prefered it without the tree on the far right. Also, I would recommend bringing the 'orange' frame line a lot closer to the picture. The separation, as much as being unbalanced (bigger black spacing inside then outside) creates a void between the picture itself and 'end' of the pic. See my 'October free Study' picture "Heaven-Seen-Through-Urban-Eyes" to better see/understand what i mean (I am in no way implying that my picture is better then yours).

The photo looks lovely. Great color and sharpness. The frame seems to dwarf the photo - and is unfortunately distracting - it draws my eyes away from the photol.
