 Some planning went into this shot and this was the selection of about 70 exposures experimenting with different lighting, perspectives, focal lengths etc.

Lighting was one monolight about 2m away with a honeycomb to make it more directional. The surface is a simple concrete floor. In order to get the open aperture I wanted I had to turn the flash power all the way down AND put a 3-stop ND filter on the lens.

PP in lightroom to convert to B&W, crop, adjust for exposure and levels.

This came out better than I'd expected.

I like the lighting and the play with the shadows, and the composition. However, I think the DOF is too shallow. I think it would have been stronger if the two front glasses were also in focus. Just my 2 cents.
