Thanks, I agree. Although many don't really seem to be in favour of it, I stand by it. Your comment pretty much explains exactly how I feel about it.

Not to be contrarian but for me the quality of this image is given by the space above the sitter's head. This somber space gives it some power and takes the image into another realm then just a portrait.

I do like negative space, but I don't think it helps on this one. It's an interesting face, but I think the extra space distracts from it. -6-
