 This is my daughter Paige fresh from Oktober Fest here in Tulsa where she got her favorite thing, a horsey, painted on her face.

This was taken in very harsh afternoon sun. Initially I was just trying to get a pic of the face painting for mom...but once I saw the photo I was tickled with it. It has already won a first place in a local photo contest.

This is very close to what came out of the camera...I made contrast changes and knocked the red hue down a bit. There is also a slight crop to get rid of a distracting flare on the lower right corner of the original.

This is really good portrait, nice lightning and sharp. A little more DOF would get the right eye sharp too. 8

Great portrait. The composition is excellent with the lines of the face and hair and the placement of the eyes. The girl has a look of joy on her face and the positive mood that that creates is enhanced by the colorful painting on her face.
The saturation seems to be a little bit towards warm pink giving the photo and even warmer mood (in a good way).
