Greetings from the Critique Club!
Nice macro, I think I have one of those Norways kicking around in my front yard. To be honest you didn't do all that badly for your first entry on a highly competitive site, and kudos for entering a pic that is straight from the camera. You could do really well in Minimal challenges!
Now onto the image. I like the colours, and the care that you took in getting out the tripod and using manual focus, but there is some borderline glare on the lower sprig of needles at the bottom right. Presuming you didn't want to lose any dof, simply lowering your ISO to 200 or possibly even 100 would have helped a lot with adding some contrast and giving those needles more definition. Especially if you don't use post-processing; even though I try to keep tones as natural as possible I still use vibrance in PS just to give that little pop of colour. Love the bokeh and the little 'rose' there.
Again, a very respectable entry, and please continue to enter challenges.

That is a cool use of tight crop. |
