The first time I've seen a seagull chick, even though seagulls are as common as can be. This one was running around on a busy city street and it's parents were frantically trying to head it back to safety. I never thought it would make it through the day, but... About three or four weeks later, it was in the Mall - separated from the street in which I first saw it by a row of shops. Much safer to play in the Mall!

Textures in both photos come from the underside of eaves which need painting.

Have to join the "I've never seen a chick" gang. Clearly you found something elusive and secret. Awesome :-)

I like this so much ... never saw a chick either. Sometimes I don't know what to wrote to express how I am rocessing your shots in my mind but I make stories in my head - the ones that are gritty are the easiest.

I've never seen a seagull chick either come to think of it. Funny how we all seem to find textures from the worn out things we have all around us.
