 The annual lighting of the pier totally messed up Run Club - mass number of people in cars trying to park everywhere. Ended up having to run to Run Club. Really! How silly is that?

So the next night I went to take pictures of the pier. The trees are only there for a week, then on Thanksgiving, or perhaps the day before or after, they take them and deliver them to needy families for Christmas.

My neighbor and friend who's taking photography classes went with me. She assured me we could park at the pier. I've never parked there. Not sure that it was such a good idea, but we went there. Parked. Free after 9 PM. What we DID NOT see was the sign saying "Closed and locked after 9:30 PM." $55 and a call to the cops to get out. Sigh.
