Beach fishing is somewhat of an institution in Aus, and you have to be particularly keen to get up early and throw a line in.

Post Editing: Modified levels a little bit to reduce haze, and cloned out some footprints.

Nice shot. Suggest rotating slightly left to straighten horizon.

Nice, but straighten the horizon.

Nice colors and scene! You might want to straighten it though, the horizon is not level. Also, it might be possible to bring out more detail in the sky (clouds) by using a copy of this layer, blended to multiply (and perhaps masked to the sky).

A soothing scene, nice interplay between the colors of the ocean and the sky.

I tend to really like pensive lonely shots like this. And this is superb. Focus, colors and overall mood are there. My only concern is the fishing rod. When my eyes follow it, it leads me right off the photo instead of 'into' it. Also, the fact he's facing something off-photo kinda throws me off. That aside, it's a solid 7 for now. Had he been on the right I could safely guess an 8.

I love the color and the horizontal lines. The horizon is the slightest bit off. Be very careful with that, especially when the horizontal lines play a huge role in the composition. Beautiful color. I love the simplicity. 7.

I love the colors of the sky. You really need to straighten up that horizon though. There is a great tutorial on how to do that here on DPC.

Horizon does not appear to be level and the water on the sand seems to emphasize that fact. Good job of placing the person on the 1/3 mark. Sky appears to be overexposed.
