 The irony of this picture is that it was taken in a small man made pond adjoining a medical office complex. My wife and I were walking our dog around the complex on the weekend when it was quiet. I saw the Heron and we were able to get quite close to it. Normally they are very timid. I did not have my camera. When we got home I grabbed my camera and drove back to the pond. Luckily he was still there and I spent about 45 minutes watching him and taking pictures. I would not have chosen to edit this picture with a soft contrast but decided to give it a try in order to enter the challenge.
