Hello from the Critique Club!
Composition:
I like your composition. It's very strong and definite. You definitely KNOW what you're looking at. I like the fact that you can't see the rest of the car, it makes it a bit of an abstract.
Background:
Black, nice and simple.
Camera work:
The image is a bit over exposed on the right just above the mirror. Other than that, it looks ok.
Digital Processing:
Hmm... There's some really strange artifacting from your processing, and I don't think it adds to the image at all. I think a nice matte finish would have looked a lot better (in my opinion). Other than the artifacting, I can't suggest much else.
My opinion:
I like this photo, and I like the unique tinting on your window. I like the fact that it fits the challenge very snuggly, and I think there's a lot of potential! Great work, I always enjoy your pictures :) |

once again, a last minute brain-storm is instead a brain-fart -- someone stop me! only shot a handful, but they're all much better in hindsight --- okay, okay - anyway, this is the passenger door of my 2000 Isuzu Amigo wearing the custom tint i had installed right after i bought it. that's 3 years ago, right? so this year the SPIDERMAN movie comes out, and my car looks like a cartoon! on the other hand, i've seen at least 4 other cars with MY tint since then ... |

Interesting filter. I'm not sure that the car door is an appealing enough subject though, even with the manipulation. |

From the lines of the web and other edges, I think the focus seems good, but the color manipulation (at least I hope that's from post processing) distorts the image so that I'm not fully certain. (joke: what happened to the rest of the vehicle?) To me, this is overly processed...it looks more like a well done painting than a photo. (Was that your objective???) 6 Swash |

Unique take on the challenge. I find it odd to be looking at a "floating" car door, the shot feels somewhat surreal. |

I don't like the oversaturated color of this pic. The rest of the door under the window really isn't adding to this pic so I might have tried to focus on the window. Cool web btw. - Inspzil |
