| Thank you for sharing the gardens, Julee. Communal gardens - what a great concept. It isn't done in my neighbourhood. I'm glad that some choose to plant flowers, that makes it all so pretty. |

| Your essay reminds me of the community gardens in Washington, DC. Some plant flowers, others vegetables, or not much at all. Like you, I enjoy seeing what appears in the Spring as the show repeats every year. Enjoy your walks! |

| What a pleasure to see the community gardens in Eastern South Dakota. Both of my parents are from Custer. We spent 2 weeks every year in Custer. Everyone grew all of their own food back there. I don't see that so much in Sacramento. |
