I went downtown to the "Old Neighborhood" in Monterrey, Mexico, and found lots of old fashioned places. There are all kinds of colors. I wish I could've submit more.

Composition-Content
There is something that makes this picture stand out in the crowd, the simplicity, the colours? It is a lovely soft picture, which maybe makes us wish to slow down a bit and spend time strolling around these streets. I think that your composition is perfect, I like the angle that you took this from, which helps you focus on the door on the left and then also takes you into the picture to the door on the right. There is enough detail in the picture to hold the viewers eye, the plant pots, the yellow steps, the name, but overall I think that the simplicity of the composition captivates the viewer.
Background
Well, the background here is the picture, all I can say is that the colour is fantastic! I do like the idea of a cat sitting in the foreground, to add another dimension to the shot, but I don't think that the picture suffers without it.
Technical
Lighting is great here, lovely and soft with no shadows, which suits the building completely. Focusing, sharpness and DOF are all great.
My Opinion
Love it! I like the fact that you didn't try to change the natural beauty of this scene. Lovely picture. Good Luck in the next challenge

Interesting and weird. I like it.

Edit - I gave that comment on a completely different photo, but it came up on this one!!!

I like the colours on this photo, and the slight perspective gives the composition a lift. Nice work.

Good interpretation. The colors are a little muted. But still one of the best.

Simply a wonderful image. I am not a big green fan, but this image works so well, even with the green. There is a certain cleanliness to this image that enhances it. The perspective bothers me a bit, and it restricted my grading of the image slightly. Wonderful architecture.

challenge met. nice color for the wall! not a place you can easily overlook. i like what you've done from a technical point of view, the colors are good, the photo sharp, lighting is even, etc. no post-processing artifacts. i'm trying to figure out what you could've adjusted (angle/crop) to make the subject matter more unique or unusual to stand out amongst the crowds. not sure though, sorry.

There is no lack of color here.

Very nice photograph. Authentic colors and subject. No black box manipulation, and not even an elaborate border. Congratulations. 9 JEM

Nice colors, the perspective, shapes and forms, lines, and patterns all help to make this a good looking photo. What you need is something in front of the wll to help give it a more three dimensional look. Perhaps a cat, an old lady walking by, etc. The plants help a little. Good luck, John Gill

but hey, that's just me. muy padre.

You should have known better than to use this shade of green!!!
