Boy was this a tough challenge. No models around, so this was shooting myself. I find getting the focus right really tough.
I had some lovely natural light coming in from a bay window, and I tried playing with getting nice light on just one side. I'm not sure that really showed up well, but after two days this was the best I had.
I (like many) really hate being in front of the camera. I can't wait for my next DSLR which hopefully will have a flip screen allowing for easier self portraits. (I have a point and shoot that does that, and it's great.)
But I give cheers to myself for the bravery of submitting. Had this not been part of league I would have sat this challenge out. Too much discomfort.

Perhaps a bit more DOF or slightly shifted focus point would enhance this shot. I like the blurred area of her shoulder. Sharpest area of focus seems to be in her hair near the top of her head, and also a small area of the frame of her glasses.
