 Thanks everyone for the comments and votes! This was a stray down feather from one of my chickens on a spider web. Center composition was because it maximized detail; stuff in the upper left and lower right was the spider web. Took some photos the day before that I liked better, but that was before the challenge timeframe. Oh, well.

It is sad to see that this image is dead centred, a more dramatic approach to the angle of view here could've made a difference. I also find that there are distracting and messy looking stray feathers on the rest of the image. This doesn't lend to the appeal

The central part of the image is interesting with the mix of sharp and blurry feather skeins. The upper left and lower right corner have visible bits of extra stuff that should've been cleaned up.
