Interestingly this other chicken photo that was shot in the same woods was more popular with the voters but then it is a dancing cock
I do appreciate the dancing cock is much more interesting but don't want people to be put off photographing chickens:) |

| The only thing wrong with this image is that it is of a chicken. The lighting is lovely, the colors are rich, the pose is perfect; But it is a chicken. Next to stuffed animals, few things are going to score worse on DPC than a chicken. Why we love seeing cows and sheep but hate looking at chickens is one of life's enduring mysteries. |

| Beautifully captured. I really like your down-to-chicken-level pov. The feathers are nicely detailed and coloured and I like that the head is contrasted against the dark background. Top 10. |
