This image was taken at a cemetery close by to where I stay. It was captured just as the sun was setting in the west. The visual effects was created using a bunch of incense that was lit and placed at the base of the angel figurine. The on-board camera was used with no backlighting at all. I wanted it to light up the smoke from the front as it rose up from the base giving the eerie effect. It was taken at ground level, thus creating the illusion of a much larger object.

The lighting is obviously from the camera flash which makes the whole statue look flat. The image itself is nothing but a boring, uninspired depiction of someone else's work. Nice try though.

The mist cloud is a nice touch. If you made it with dry ice, the effect would be even better had you let it rise further up.
