Challenge: Implied Lines (Advanced Editing II)
Camera: Nikon D70
Location: Fukushima rice fields
Date: Oct 24, 2004
Aperture: f14
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/5
Galleries: Landscape, Rural

Duotone trying to create the old-time feel that impressed me on seeing this old guy continue the tradition of hand-binding the 'wara'/ rice straw.

Taken at dusk, handheld. Slight gaussian blur after duotone conversion.

Interesting photo, the grain (no pun intended) seems to work against you in this photo.

Love it when I see something here (in DP Challenge that is) which I've never seen before. Thanks! And it's a great shot to boot. :)

Reminds me of a mid-century news reel photo - very effective use of grain and tone.

Seems to be quite noisy. I like the image though.

Meets the challenge head on and good choice for monochrome rendition. The image lacks luminosity and much of the vastness is lost. 6

it's out of focus. Or should i say - moved. Using a tripod would help a lot.
I don't think the 'sepia' effect is needed here. desaturation yes, but monochroma not.

Still the line is much better that most I've seen so far.
