This is a terrific shot. The attitude and posture of the child are so natural and sociologically poignent - reminds me almost of Dorothea Lange's dust bowel photographs. But the aspect ratio is unnatural and unfilmic in my view and the scratchy overlay an unnecessary distraction from an otherwise winning shot. Scratches in my film never looked like that.
Is she the one who gave us the finger recently? She has that same swagger. (Can't remember the challenge or I'd go look.) I like the filmic effects on this one.
