A nice classic portrait. One of my top 3 in the challenge. |

Let's keep it classic, let's keep it simple, and let's do it really well. Check, check, and CHECK! Excellent portrait! |

I love everything about this except the over the top skin smoothing. |

Hmmmmm, this has all the makings of a 40s studio portrait, but it's too bright for me. Maybe just the bg needs to be darker. I'm not sure. also, the eyes are just a tad too sharp with all the soft airbrushing elsewhere... |

Wonderful. The only thing I would change is to frame this in a 3:4 or a 4:5 format rather than a 2:3 format. It appears tall and thin for a portrait and there is more of her to see that is not shown. |

Fabulous shot and crop. The girls is beautiful and her hair and gaze is awesome. I probably would have given you a 10 had it not been for the excessive (in my eyes) retouching of her skin.
Update: what size screen or image size (or what ever it is called) are you working on when you do your process? I just had another look at your image on my macbook, as oppose to the first look which was on my 27'' iMac. The amount of retouching is not nearly as visible on the small macbook screen. I just thought i'd let you know in case other people make similar comments. Perhaps they review the images on bigger screens as well? |
