I received a comment during voting from who I only know as a baghead atm... It said "Clever idea but I think it could do with a little more 'oomph' to draw out the footprints."

I disagree given the referenced source. I played with that idea in editing and everything looked too weird when the footprints were visible all the way to the back. I know you could say "mask/layer/etc", but the infield looked off when I could see the prints regardless of anything else.

"Shoeless" Joe was a ghost in the movie, the footprints "appearing" mid-way across the field are a better homage to the source than an over processed image imho. :)
