 This being the month of my girls' 1 year birthday, I had some great photos of them that I feel were some of my best. But that is because of personal attachment to he photo.

So, I took this one instead. Actually, I like it a lot. It was just kind of random. I stopped the car to take a photo for the monuments challenge, and I noticed this line of flowering trees. I cranked my aperture wide, and focused on this little branch sticking out. This made a great image of mostly bokeh, with superb circles of confusion.

I brought it into Nik Color Efex Pro for the main editing. I wanted to darken and kind of give it a glow without being an obvious glow. I think I achieved that.

Being a flower photo, I don't expect it to win, but I could see this scoring well.

I love the shallow DOF. Unfortunately that alone, wasn't enough to hold me in the frame, so I ended up score this with a (4). Good Luck!!
