 High school fast-pitch softball game -- shot from about 200 yards away through a chain-link fence.

Used a shutter-speed fast enough for the stationary objects to stay relatively sharp (despite the excessive focal length), and also slow enough to impart some motion blur to the fast-moving ball.

The colors here (especially the purple and red) are very harsh and distracting. Might be better in black & white. Also, it appears to be overexposed.

the lines are creating a feel (for me) that the field is on an uphill (left to right). maybe tighter cropping from just over the batters head to the ball?
