My Z1 Compact is an old model now. I did a quick google and it seems that Some of the Sony's do work on the AT&T network in the U.S.
I mainly bought it on the good reviews of the camera but also the screen is first class and I can see it in bright sun, unlike the various Samsung's I have previously owned.
