 My purpose in considering gritty, manly-man subject material was to step out of the "stock" box a little. Then, in researching for the challenge, I googled "lumberjack, chain saw" and came up with an abundance of stock "logger" type images. Having the subject material affirmed as sellable stock, I made my mind up to submit my image; now, whether it will be seen as sellable by DPC voters remains to be seen.

Shooting tree cuts is a challenging, noisy, dirty business, and the fellow working is usually not interested in accommodating your angles/lighting/framing, so you have to grab what you can when you can - and stay out of the way!

Because I wanted a grittiness to the shot, I ran it through a Topaz 'Strong Detail' filter and added an off-center vignette.

Good shot for stock, and you seem to have removed logos which is a must. The editing is a little odd. I think it my be a bit unrealistic for typical stock.
