Very much appreciate J_J's comment. A lot of my portraits seem to demonstrate the unsettled/transitory expression. I am now practicing with rapid fire.

A kind and soft portrait.
Ben’s face gives me the feeling of being in between two expressions. People with lots of facial mobility require many shots before you get one where they appear settled in an expression you want to share. I never use my continuous drive function, except for portraits (especially group portraits) for that reason.
