Yep, I knew the halo was there. I shot this the morning of the 28th and had very limited editing time that day. I didn't want to miss a month so went with what I had. I just don't have the time to shoot these days. I really do appreciate all the comments and offers of editing help, that's what really makes this site great!

Adding this. The final-ish version of what I probably would've entered if I had more time.

I wasn't sure if this was yours bc I didn't think you would allow the halo over the mountain, seems strange, but nice scene anyway.

Cuttooth? I recognize this spot. Took some images there in January myself, not this good though! The black lava is really interesting to photograph. I like the time lapse on the water.

I think it's overcooked for my taste...the hills are glowing as if radioactive. The movement around the rocks is very nice though...maybe just a little less processing overall, a lighter touch so to speak, as it is a nice scene.

Watch the over-sharpening halos. Easy to fix, and they just kill this otherwise lovely shot. Turht is, the more I look the more the entire shot seems over sharpened/structured. A re-edit could yield something great.

There is a halo effect between the land & sky that doesn't look natural

The sea is fantastic, the sky is fantastic. The halo along the top of the land pretty much spoils it. You can eliminate bright halos by using your clone tool on a small brush setting, and in darken mode, and sampling the adjacent sky and cloning over the bright bit all the way along - resampling as you go. It wont affect the darker land area.

Nice but the halo around the mountain kills it. Not voting.

The sharpness / clarity is a tad too harsh on this. Very nice image though.

Don't you see the halo on the hill/sky interface? That's just destroying this very nice image :-( I can show you how to fix it if you wish, just ask.
