Umbrellas - used mor against the sun here in Africa than against rain, so that must be it.

In my top ten. Good title. Such an interesting composition. So good, it seems like a setup shot. Thanks.

Great image... I'm asking, who are these people? where are they going? Is it so hot that you need an umbrella. I like the steps in the corrugated iron/Al sheets that make-up the wall/fence. The graffiti behind, an expression of someone elses artistic impulses... a scream of defiance or non-conformance to societies expectations... a little bit of both?

I really would love to know if this is a candid or not. Why do they all have umbrellas on a sunny day, I guess to keep the sun from beating down on their fare skin. The added clouds are a bonus...very toy storyish.


This is one of the few I really like, and I mean few, truly!

I'm sure it will be in the top five.
